This is a mid-level position implementing talent management technology solutions for clients worldwide as a key member of the Professional Services team at Jobscience. This position will be based in San Francisco, CA.


The position requires expertise in technology consulting, SaaS implementation project management (ideally on the Force.com platform) and human resources. Jobscience is developing unified talent management services that currently include solutions for managing candidate sourcing, applicant tracking and on-boarding, with training and staff planning scheduled for release in 2010. The applications are built on the Force.com platform (an infrastructure that supports 75MM transactions a day in less than a millisecond) and they are delivered through role-based portals for HR, managers, employees, contract workers, vendors and procurement. The Implementations Consultant will manage consulting engagements that involve configuring the components of our applications to meet client specifications. These components include the database, the web services API, the workflow engine, the page layout editor, the reporting & analytics engine, access control privileges, end-user administration and the multiple devices, languages and currencies that may be required.


Responsibilities. Over the course of the implementation project, the Implementations Consultant will manage the relationship with the customer and assure that all aspects of the implementation project plan are completed on schedule. From the beginning when the Implementations Consultant works with Jobscience’ sales engineers to scope the project and define the statement of work, to managing the initial meeting with all of the client stakeholders where the implementation project calendar is approved, the Implementations Consultant will be the “go to” person regarding any questions regarding the configuration, set up, data migration and training status of the implementation project. The Implementations Consultant will lead weekly client project team meetings, maintaining an “action items” list, as well as enhancement requests beyond the scope of the initial implementation project. The Implementations Consultant will be responsible for completing implementation projects within the time allotted, with high levels of customer success from the solutions implemented and high levels of customer satisfaction. The Implementation Consultant will document customer needs, configured/ implemented solutions and any open action items for turnover to the Customer Success unit. The Consultant also will be involved in the sales process to assess the prospect's needs, scope the work and resources requires to meet those needs, and then prepare and present a statement of work.  The position reports to the Vice President, Professional Services.


Qualifications. The position requires excellent consulting project management skills and outstanding oral and written communications skills, as well as configuration experience with either salesforce.com or Force.com apps. (The ideal candidate will be DEV401 certified.) Experience with HR software and several years of experience with implementations within or for a HR department is preferred. Experience with managing the QA/QC processes for software implementations would also be a plus. Prior experience as a deployment consultant, technical consultant or software engineer will be considered in lieu of the some of the qualifications listed above and Jobscience will provide professional training where required.
